December 4th, 2018 - London, UK and Fremont, USA – Device Authority, a global leader in Identity and Access Management (IAM) for the Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain, today announced their latest platform release – KeyScaler version 6.3 with general availability from December 11th.
The new software release introduces an Enhanced Platform Integration Connector (EPIC) which allows partners and customers to integrate KeyScaler with any device, any platform, any Certificate Authority (CA) and any network. This offers the ultimate flexibility and ease of integration for IoT solution providers, device manufacturers and system integrators who want to leverage KeyScaler solutions.
EPIC provides customers with real-time notifications of events that occur in KeyScaler, over standards-based MQTT protocol. This improves the visibility on their devices on their management platforms in order to gain valuable and actionable security insights.

In addition, KeyScaler 6.3 includes a new API for certificate provisioning via gateways to edge devices, agnostic to any type of connectivity technology i.e. BTLE, LwM2M, ZigBee, LoRaWAN. This provides a mechanism to trust, authenticate and authorize devices using PKI through a gateway hub. This is particularly important for medical devices or industrial equipment in a smart factory which may be offline.
An API for data signing enables devices and applications to securely utilize corporate private keys for data signing, without exposing the key itself. This provides an additional authorization layer for organizations to prevent unauthorized access and export of private keys stored in secure hardware. This further enhances our connectors with Thales eSecurity and Gemalto where organizations leverage HSMs for key storage.
